We are aiming to advertise for prospective Volunteers in September, in local newspapers for the Llanelli and Carmarthen areas.

In order to reach the wider population we have changed our name to encompass the County of Carmarthenshire, SIR GAR.  We have also recently had our publicity information printed in the Welsh Language.  We are sometimes asked to offer our services through the medium of Welsh and have been able to match Befrienders and Befriendees who have expressed this preference.  We therefore welcome any enquiries from would be Volunteers who wish to use their native tongue.

We are anxious to be able to offer our services throughout the more rural parts of the County of Carmarthenshire and will be advertising by various means to recruit more Volunteers.  If you happen to live in these areas and have a few spare hours within the week we would love to hear from you and please look out for our advertising campaign during the first and second week of September 2010.
